JOHN RAYMOND HARTER, JR.

John Raymond Harter Jr., 66, of Billings passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025. He was born in Springfield on May 29, 1958; the son of John R. and Juanita C. (Pratt) Harter.
He served in the United States Navy and had many adventures traveling in Europe and the United States, but finally settled back in his hometown of Billings.
He worked as a concrete finisher for many years and was a jack of all trades.
He is survived by his brothers, Daniel (Terry) Harter of Marionville and Pat (Sandy) Harter of Billings; a sister, Betty (Betsy) Harter of Kansas City and a host of other family and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Jay Harter; and the love of his life, Debbie (Trantham) Brundage.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, at Meadors Funeral Home in Billings. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Billings.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
