JON NILE GODSEY

Jon Nile Godsey, 72, of Verona passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024. He was born in Aurora on Nov. 16, 1952; the son of William and Velma (Lawson) Godsey.
He is survived by his son, Barney Godsey of Verona; one daughter, Cassie Schmelz of Union and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Godsey; his parents; one brother, Roger Godsey; and one sister, Norma Green.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, in Peterson Funeral Chapel. Visitation will follow until 3 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
