Jonathan Borra Clementir

Jonathan Borra Clementir, 50, of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Joplin passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Aurora.  He was born March 10, 1971, in Olongapo, Philippines, the son of Harry and Elsa (Borra) Clementir.
Clementir was a 1990 graduate of Phineas Banning High School in Wilmington, Calif. and ITT Technical Institute in Norfolk, Va. where he received his associates degree. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of the Joplin VFW Post 534 and the owner of Sun Power Solar, LLC, in Mt. Vernon.   
On May 26, 2007, he married Maricar Marcelino in Springfield.
Clementir is survived by his wife of 14 years, Maricar; his mother, Elsa Clementir of the Philippines; three sisters, Arleen Joy Renner  (Korey), of Camdenton; Jingky Clementir (John Ema), of Placentia, Calif. and Janet Smith (Terry), of Blythewood, S.C. and seven nieces and nephews.
Clementir’s father, Harry, preceded him in death.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon.  Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, in the funeral home chapel.
