JOSEPH "JOE" JOHN JAGLOWITZ

Joseph “Joe” John Jaglowitz, was born in 1930 in South Bend Indiana, to Joseph Lawrence and Frieda Jaglowitz, the youngest of five siblings.    
Jaglowitz attended Mount Carmel Catholic High School in Chicago, Ill. and graduated in 1948.  He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force (1951) during the Korean War and was stationed in Florida and Texas.
Jaglowitz was married to his wife  Barbara Smith in 1956 and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage before she passed away from cancer in 2004. They had two sons, Thomas and Stephen; and a daughter, Valerie.
Following his retirement, in 1995, Jaglowitz moved with Barbara to Monett.
He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, father Joseph Lawrence, his mother Frieda, sister Dorothy, sister Rose, sister Marcella, and sister Eleanor.
He is survived by children Thomas, Stephen, and Valerie along with ten grandchildren, nine great-children, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Jaglowitz was held on Thursday Oct. 6, at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Graveside services were on Friday Oct. 7, at the Oakdale Cemetery in Monett.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made in Joe’s name to the charity of your choosing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
