JOSEPH WILLIAM STEWART

Joseph William Stewart, 69, of Marionville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, at his sister’s home. He was born Dec. 12, 1952, in Aurora, the son of Alfred Lewis and Mollie Eileen (Dykes) Stewart.
Joe was a 1971 graduate of Marionville High School and was a heavy equipment operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was a member of the Elm Branch Christian Church.
Joe is survived by his mother, Mollie Stewart, of Marionville; two brothers, James Stewart and his wife, Casta, of Miami, FL and Charles Stewart and his wife, Sabina, of Wellington, Nev. four sisters, Lyndia Mackey and her husband, Glenn, of Aurora, Cheryl Curl of Wentworth, Alisa Smith and her husband, John, of Marietta, Ga. and Verley Howard and her husband, Michael, of Aspen, Colo. and several nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Alfred, and brother-in-law, David Curl.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, will be held on October 26, at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
