JUDITH LYNN RHYMER

Judith Lynn Rhymer, 72, of Sarcoxie passed away suddenly on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. She was born in Cassville on Aug. 12, 1952, the daughter of Kenneth Lee and Selah (Hadley) Farmer.
She was a 1970 graduate of Sarcoxie High School.
She married Brian Rhymer on March 24, 1989, and they shared 35 years of memories together.
She was a member of Eminence Chapter 93 Order of the Eastern Star of Missouri for 50 years. She served as District Deputy in 2008; in 2018, she was the Grand Representative of British Columbia/Yukon and in 2023 she was appointed as Grand Martha of the Grand Chapter of Missouri. She retired in 2019 from Leggett and Platt Wire Mill of Carthage.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; daughters, Kendra (Jeff) Talley of Kansas City and Jamie (Nathan) Holman of Palestine, Texas; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; her sisters: Kay (Norman) Rauscher and Sally Clapper all of Carthage and Betty (George) Moss of Baxter Springs Kan.; her lifelong best friend, Mary Lea (Skeet) Cryer of Carthage; her brothers-in-law: Bill (Kathy) Rhymer of Joplin, Mike Rhymer, Mark (Martha) Rhymer and Chris Rhymer all of Sarcoxie, Joel (Dee) Rhymer of Claremore, Okla. and Jerry Rhymer of Pryor, Okla.; her sister-in-law, Melissa (Gerald) Pennington of Sarcoxie; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Raymond and Mary Rhymer; older sister, Mary Lee Reynolds; brother-in-law, Harpo Clapper; and sister-in-law Christina Rhymer.
Order of Eastern Star service was held on Sunday, Dec. 29, at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home. Memorial services were held on Monday, Dec. 30, with Marc Kutz officiating. A private family burial followed at Dudman Springs Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie.
