Kenneth M. Turley

Kenneth M. Turley, 84, of Joplin, passed away Oct. 13, 2018, at home, following a long illness.
He was born July 20, 1934, to Russell and Marguerite Morrison Turley. Turley married Betty Jean Stickney in 1955.
He served in the U.S. Army and later retired from Unisys corporation formerly Burroughs as a computer repair technician. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America earning his Eagle Scout Award and the Joplin Junior Rifle and Pistol Club. Turley loved to travel, and visited all 48 of the lower continental states as well as several Mexican states and Canadian provinces.
Turley is survived by: his wife; brother, Tom (JoAnne) Turley of Olathe, Kan.; son, Berry Turley, of Desert Hot Springs, Cal.; daughters, Elisa (Don) Bedell of Joplin, Katrina (Dwayne) Farmer of Wichita Falls, Texas and  Kenna (Mark) Peters of Pierce City; 16 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family. He was preceded in death by: brothers, William, Robert, Morvan and Ronald “Jonesy” Turley; son, Timothy Dwayne Turley; and one grandson.
Funeral services were held at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Burial took place at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
