Kenneth Packwood

Kenneth Packwood, 90, of Verona, passed away Feb. 22, 2020 at his home. He was born Jan. 18, 1930 in Ridgley to Wayne and Ina (England) Packwood, who preceded him in death.
Packwood grew up and received his education in Ridgley. He married Lenore Privett and later married Eleanor Burbridge. As a young man he raised and traded horses and cattle. He also combined during wheat harvest. Later he ran the Ridgley Grocery Store and after that owned and operated a gas station in Verona. Before retiring he owned an auction business and then turned that building into a furniture store.
Surviving are: sons, Greg (Tresa) Packwood of Wheaton; Kevin (Tammy) Packwood of Verona and Gary (Denise) Packwood of Aurora; daughters, Carla (Gary) Mulvaney of Monett and Kay (Jim) Roberts of Nixa; one daughter–in-law, Sheila Packwood; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Joe Packwood and brother, Darrell Packwood.
Services were held Feb. 26, 2020 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.
