Lady Mt’neers roll in two more big victories

After starting the season 0-4, the Lady Mt’neers have won seven of their last nine. They have done it in a completely different way than they have in the past with stellar defense. They knocked off Neosho, Forsyth and Capital City High in the 12 Courts of Christmas before the Pink and White. They built on their three-game win streak with wins over Parkview and Aurora. After their run to the consolation championship game, they smoked then state-ranked Hollister, 47-38, on Monday and beat Lamar, 48-30, on Thursday.
They got to the right side of the .500 mark with the Lamar win, and now sit at 7-6. They have a big week currently as they battled 7-2 Seneca on Monday, and Monett comes to town Thursday.
Mt’neers remain winless
The boys dropped their only game of the week to Lamar in a 52-36 loss, Friday night. They looked to have been building momentum with a pair of good showings in the Blue and Gold, but they now sit at 0-10 on the year. They face two major challenges this week as they traveled to Hollister on Tuesday to take on the 12-3 stateranked Tigers, and then travel to Strafford to take on the Indians, Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
