Lady Mt'neers lose in three sets at Cassville, defeats Monett and Bolivar

It was a nail-biter at Cassville Tuesday, Sept. 11, as the Lady Mt'neers and the Lady Wildcats battled through three sets before Cassville came away with the Big 8 Conference win, 27-29, 25-19 and 29-27.
Ellie Johnston led the way for Mt. Vernon with six kills, two service aces and 15 digs. Ashlyn McCanless added 42 digs, while Maddie Mosley had three blocks and six kills.
Earlier in the week, the Lady Mt'neers defeated Monett in two sets, 25-17 and 25-19, and then on Thursday, Sept. 13, Mt. Vernon defeated Bolivar 25-20, 23-25 and 25-14.
The Lady Mt'neers will host East Newton on Thursday, Sept. 20, and compete in the Strafford Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 22.
