Larry Ray Hunt

Larry Ray Hunt, 72, of Vail, Ariz., formerly of Mt. Vernon and Miller, passed away Nov. 24, 2019, at his home. He was born Aug. 29, 1947, in Springfield, to Willard E. and Maxine (Johnson) Hunt.
Hunt was a 1965 graduate of Miller High School, and attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. He was a parts manager for Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield for 25 years and an associate of Jim Click Automotive Team in Tucson, Ariz. for 10 years. He was an avid master gardener, a member of the Halltown Baptist Church in Halltown and Sabino Road Baptist Church in Tucson, Ariz. In 1999, he married Sheri Kay New in Estes Park, Colo.
Hunt is survived by: wife, Sheri; children, Jedediah Weston (Elizabeth) Hunt of Miller, Lindsey (Mark) Shepard of Mt. Vernon, Sean (Debbie) Vanslyke of Dexter and stepson, Joseph Mark Ketterer of Vail, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Willard (Sandy) Hunt of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Donna (Steve) Carl of Mt. Vernon and Judy Phillips of Springfield. He is preceded in death by his sister, Janie Hunt; his stepson, Brian Ketterer; and a brother-in-law, Larry.
A funeral service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon was held at 2 p.m. Dec. 1, 2019, at the Halltown Baptist Church, in Halltown.Memorials may be made payable to the Halltown Baptist Mission Team, in care of the Funeral Home, 510 E.
