Law. Co. Sheriff’s Office seeking information in Verona cemetery vandalism

$2,000 reward offered for info leading to conviction of vandals who damaged some 50 Lee Cemetery headstones
 The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding vandalism to the Lee Cemetery near Verona over the weekend. Headstones, some dating back to the 1800s, were damaged in the disrespectful act.
What’s more, is that the incident occurred just after Memorial Day when many people come to the cemetery to pay respects to friends and family buried at the cemetery.
The Lee Cemetery Association is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. In addition, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is also adding an additional $1,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
