LEILA "VEDA" KESSINGER

Leila "Veda" Kessinger, age 79, passed away on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at home in Stark City, Missouri. She was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Bowers Mills, Mo, the daughter of William James and Leila Ruth (Galloway) Colley.
Veda was a 1960 graduate of Miller High School and was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Purdy.
On Jan. 12, 1961, she married Jimmy Carl "JC" Kessinger in Monett, Missouri.
Veda is survived by her husband, Jimmy; three sons, Monty Kessinger, Champ Kessinger and Chad Kessinger and his wife, Krisha of Aurora; five grandchildren, Katrina Meyers and her husband, Matt of Ozark, Clarissa Vesco and her husband, James of Webb City, Dakota Kessinger of Aurora, Kayle Kessinger of Warrensburg, and Colby Kessinger of Aurora; six great-grandchildren, Tera Vesco, Ezabella Vesco, Cooper Vesco, Chloe Meyers, Roman Vesco, and Logan Meyers; one brother, Champ Colley of LaRussell, Missouri; two sisters, Faye Berry of Ozark, and Glo Bills of Wichita Falls, Tex. and many nieces and nephews.
Veda was preceded in death by her parents, William, and Leila and two brothers, Hoyt Colley, and Mason Colley.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
