Letha Marie Pennel

Letha Marie Pennel, 76, passed away June 2, 2019 after an 11-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born March 18, 1943, in Aurora, to Floyd and Ruby (Hubbard) Harmon.
In 1960, she graduated from Marionville High School. Two years later in 1962, she married Darrel Pennel and raised four boys. In 1987, she relocated to Mesa, Ariz. where she owned and operated Love’s Touch, a cleaning service. She was known by many for her deep love, rich friendship, playing games, family time and traveling.
Pennel is survived by: sons Kevin Pennel of Mesa, Ariz., Kent (Cari) Pennel of Long Grove, Iowa, Keith (Sissie) Pennel of Bemidji, Minn. and Khris (Sheryl) Pennel of Englewood,Ohio; sister Connie Sue (Fred) Houston of Aurora; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents, brothers Virgil Harmon and Henderson Harmon, and a half brother Loyd Buchanan.
A celebration of life was held June 8, 2019 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Aurora. Interment followed the service at IOOF cemetery in Marionville. Memorials may be made to Hedge International Dayton at hedgeinternationaldayton.org or to MD Anderson Medical Center at https://gifts.mdanderson.org.
