Lillian Heese

 Lillian Heese, 89, of Monett passed away Nov. 19, 2018, while staying at Lacoba Homes in Monett. She was born in Thrall, Texas July 25, 1929, to the late Gottfried and Minnie (Juergens) Krieg. She was married in 1948 in Robstown, Texas to John Heese; he preceded her in death in 2018.
Heese was a homemaker and a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett as well as being a member of the victory homemakers extension club, the St. Lawrence P.C.C.W., the Monett lions club and the women of the American legion. She loved working with the altar society and was a circle leader within the group for many years. She had many friends and always enjoyed entertaining. She also loved sewing, dancing, traveling, and especially spending time with her family and loved ones.
Heese is survived by: sons, John (Colleen) Heese Jr. of St. Charles and Fred (Leanna) Heese of Kansas City; daughters, Frances Ann Wolf of Monett, Debbie (Greg) Fritz of Jefferson City and Margie (Tom) Fenske of Monett; sisters, Norine Bernsen of Corpus Christi, Texas and Jeannette Zarosky of Franklin, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; brothers, Harold Krieg and Glen “Buck” Krieg; and sister, Gertrude Hickman.
Rosary was held Nov. 23, 2018, at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, with visitation that followed. Funeral Mass was held Nov. 24, 2018 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett. Burial followed services at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pierce City. Memorials may be made to the St. Lawrence P.C.C.W. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
