Loren Randall Tinker, 90, of Aurora passed away on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, at his home. He was born May 13, 1933, in Marionville, the son of Cecil and Hazelbell (Fortney) Tinker.
He was a 1952 graduate of Marionville High School in Marionville, where he played quarterback for the Comets. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and he worked as an Optical Instrument Mechanic for the Marine Corps Base in Barstow, Calif. for 22 years.
On May 25, 1968, he married Linda Joyce Eanes, in Las Vegas, Nev.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda, and one son, Kelley Tinker of Aurora.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Tinker; mother, Hazelbell McClelland and one brother, Bobby Dean McClelland.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, Nov. 25, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. Burial with full military honors followed at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
