Lula May “Edna” (Lovell) Rice

Lula May “Edna” (Lovell) Rice passed away Sunday May 15, 2022 at her home with her daughters at her side.
She was born in Monett on Sept. 5, 1934 to Clarence Henry ad Lottie Mae (Bolin) Lovell. She is a member of the Church of Christ having been baptized in her teens and remaining faithful to her Lord. She was a member of Monett High School class of 1953.
On Oct. 3, 1953 she married John David Rice in Monett and to this union three daughters were born: Deborah (Mark) Hardwick, Cheryl (Kathy) Rice and Joni Moore all of Purdy; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Charles Henry (Joann) Lovell, Lois Six, Shirley Adams and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, son-in-law Brett Moore and five siblings: Marie Squibb, Georgia Rhea, Jim Lovell, Barbara Sanders, and Carol Layton.
Visitation is being held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday May 19, 2022  at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday May 20, 2022  at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel with Deny Lemaster and Trey Henry officiating. Burial will follow services at Arnhart Cemetery in East Purdy.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fair Haven Children’s Home or the Arnhart Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
