LURA ARLENE SCOVILLE

Lura Arlene Scoville, 93, of Marionville, formerly of Birch Tree passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. She was born on March 18, 1931; the daughter of Roy Dale  and Edith (Ledbetter) Rardin.
She married Ben Scoville on Oct 6, 1947, and they were married for 66 years before his passing. They had a wonderful farm and country home southeast of Birch Tree, where they lived their lives and raised their children.
She was the owner of Scoville Upholstery. She was a member of the Birch Tree Town and Country Club and Pioneer Baptist Church in Birch Tree. She was also a Girl Scout leader for many years,
She is survived by her sister, Betty Watts of Marionville; one son, Daniel (Phyllis) Scoville of Rogers, Ark.; one daughter, Janet (Charles) Sieger of Republic; one grandson; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; one great-great-granddaughter; and many other relatives, friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; parents; and three sisters: Marie Ledgerwood, Cleo Christian and Beaulah Snider.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 22, at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Birch Tree with Rev. Robert Gifford officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
