Luther Lafayette Brown Jr.

Luther Lafayette Brown Jr., 64, of Verona, passed away Nov. 11, 2019 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
He was born Aug. 5, 1955, in San Francisco, Calif. to Luther Lafayette Brown Sr. and Marilda C. (Scott) Brown, Brott.
Brown was a 1974 graduate of Verona High School and Graft Vocational School. He worked as a machinist for over 40 years at Roderick Arms & Tool Cooperation in Monett. He took pride in all his work both in the shop and home. He was a passionate supporter of the National Rifle Association and a Benefactor member.
In 1990, he married Patricia (Pat) Allison who survives him. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; half-sister Daphne Heatley; and brother Paul Brown.
Funeral services were held Nov. 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel in Aurora with graveside services that followed at Calton Cemetery in Pleasant Ridge.  Memorials may be made in memory of Luther to the National Rifle Association.
