Marcia Jane Stotts

Marcia Jane Stotts, passed away Feb. 14, 2020. She was born Sept. 12, 1950 to Mildred and Henry Olson. Stotts was a lifelong resident on Monett.
Stotts was a member of the Monett High School debate team, student body president and member of the 1968 graduating class. She was also a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Monett. She was the church clerk and church treasurer. She was a volunteer for the Barry-Lawrence County Development Center and became a board member in 1974. She was a sales consultant for Dixie Printing in Joplin. Her past employment included The Monett Times, Dr. Thomas McClure, Dentist and Jack Frost Printing.
She is survived by: her husband of 47 years, Dale Lee Stotts; daughter, Cynthia (Matthew) Dawn Wesley Nason of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Carol (James) Crouse of Overland Park, Kan.; brother-in-law, David (Cheryl) Stotts of Monett; a niece, Lisa of Rogers, Ark.; nephew, Ryan Stotts of Wichita, Kan.; and great nephew. She is preceded in death by: her parents and sister, Barbara Joan Ball.
Visitation was held Feb. 18,- at the First Baptist Church in Monett, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Feb. 19 at the First Baptist Church, followed by graveside services at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monett. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or the Barry-Lawrence County Development Center in Monett. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, 301 Euclid Avenue in Monett.
