Margaret M. Betterton Kerr

Margaret M. Betterton Kerr, 92,of Monett, passed away, Feb. 23, 2019.
Kerr was born in Oklahoma July 8, 1926, but was raised in Missouri. She married very early to a young farmer, Ray Kerr. They were married for 73 years.
In addition to being a skillful cook,. Kerr was politically active in helping people make it to voting booths. She was a community minded person, serving meals to neighbors who were ill or in need.
She is survived by: daughters, Shirley Stumpff, Saundra D’Souza, Annita D’Amico; 12 grandchildren ; 21 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Pamela Crawford and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held Feb. 27, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Maple Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks, 949 E. Primrose St., Springfield, MO.  65807-5257.
