Marilyn Eloise Scott

Marilyn Eloise Scott, 88, of Monett passed away Nov. 25, 2020 at Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation in Cassville.
She was born Dec. 9, 1931 in Spencer, Iowa the daughter of William and Mabel Francis (Wells) Potter, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were daughter, Margie Ann Scott Iverson;  brother, Everett Potter; sisters, Mabel Nellis and Donna Taylor and one grandchild.
Surviving are sons, Larry Scott, Dick (Loretta) Scott, Ray (Becky) Scott, Roy (Deb) Scott and Ernie (Marlene) Scott, all of Iowa and Darrell Scott and Judy Barker of Monett; daughter, Sharon (Ray) Froisland of Iowa; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She grew up and received her education in Spencer, Iowa. She worked on an egg farm in Iowa and then for 14 years was employed at Campbell Soup in Minnesota. In 1994 she moved from Minnesota to Wheaton and eventually moved to Monett to make her home. While in Iowa she taught Sunday School and after moving to Wheaton she joined Solid Rock Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday School.
Services were held Dec. 19, 2020 at Solid Rock Baptist Church east of Wheaton. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
