Marilyn Mourglia McKee

Marilyn Mourglia McKee, 88, of Leawood, Kan. passed away Oct. 18, 2019. She was born March 26, 1931 in Purdy, to Felix Mourglia and Helen Blankenship. The family later moved to Monett. She graduated from Monett High School in 1949. She went to Drury College in Springfield as a history major. She married Clyde Thomas McKee (“Sonny”) on Dec. 28, 1952 at the Baptist Church in Monett. After their marriage, they moved to North Kansas City. She became a housewife after their first child was born They moved to their home in Verona in 1978 where they lived for 40 years.
 She is survived by: children, Melissa Jane, Marc (Melissa Ann) and Kevin (Ellen); brothers Richard Mourglia (Marcia) and David Mourglia (Mati); two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband in 2002.
Funeral services are being held Wednesday Oct. 23, 2019 at 3 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett. Memorials may be made to the Waldensian Presbyterian Church, 2250 FR 1080, Monett, 65708. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
