Mark Anthony Brown

Mark Anthony Brown, 74, of Purdy passed away May 4, 2020 surrounded by his family at home following a short illness. He was born in Butterfield May 16, 1945 to the late Carl and Ella Mae Brown. He married Glenna Ruth Brown in 1963; she survives. He spent 22 years of his life in the grocery business before ending his working career at Wells Aluminum in Monett.
In addition to his wife, Brown is survived by: children Tammy (Gary) Starchman, Larry (Mickie) Brown and Travis (Jennifer) Brown; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; brother, Mike (Sharon) Brown of Goodman; sister, Carla Eden of Cassville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Bill Brown; and sister, Norma Harris.
Visitation was held May 7, 2020 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Private burial will be at a later date. Memorials for Brown may be made to the Purdy High School Baseball. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
