Marty Ray Terry

Marty Ray Terry, 55, of Purdy, passed away on Sept. 22 while at Cox South Hospital in Springfield following a short illness.
Terry was born on April 6, 1965 in Aurora son of Tom and Judy (Young) Terry. He graduated from Purdy High School with the class of 1983. For the last 13 years, Terry worked as a truck driver for Tyson Foods in Monett. He was a member of the Wilson Avenue Baptist Church in Aurora.
He is survived by: his son, Colton Terry, of Marionville; daughters, Erin (Scott) Hadley of Aurora and Emily Terry, of Marionville; two granddaughters; parents, Tom and Judy Terry, of Purdy; brother, Scott (Valerie) Terry of Monett; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services were held Sept. 28 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Purdy Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home. Memorial contributions have been requested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
