Mary Elizabeth Milhollin

Mary Elizabeth Milhollin, 93, of Monett, formerly of Columbia, passed away Sept. 23 while at Cox Monett Hospital.
Milhollin was born on Nov. 8, 1926, in Sturgeon. She was one of 11 children born to the late Leslie Austin and Nellie (Brown) Stephens. She worked as a nurse. She spent her entire career in nursing and after retirement continued to volunteer her time in the Auxiliary at the Boone County Hospital. Milhollin was a member of the First United Methodist Church as well as the American Ex-P.O.W. Organization. In 1946, she was married to Robert J. Milhollin.
Milhollin is survived by: daughters, Sharon (Chuck) Nelson, of Atlanta, Ga. and Carol (Dr. Stephen) Stidham, of Monett; four grandchildren; as well as seven great-grandchildren. Milhollin was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, eight brothers and two sisters.
Service arrangements are pending at this time. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Memorial Cemetery in Columbia at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Monett Community Kitchen in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
