Mary Marie Head

Mary Marie Head, 85, of Aurora, passed away Sept. 8, 2019, at the Aurora Nursing Center. She was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Shell Knob, to Samuel and Mary (Anderson) Mahurin.
She worked at Mom’s Café and Walmart. She enjoyed crosswords puzzles and word searches. She blessed her family and friends with her musical talents and her beautiful crocheted gifts.  
Head is survived by: son, Rick (Gloria) Head of Springfield; sisters, Hazel (James) Coker of Aurora and Joyce Myers of Aurora; sister-in-law, Juanita Mahurin of Aurora; one grandson; one granddaughter; four great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.   Head was preceded in death by: her parents; stepdad, Woodrow Mahurin; husband, Jearl Head; son, Billy Head; one grandson; a daughter-in-law; and brothers, Carl Mahurin, Bill (Bus) Mahurin, Charlie Mahurin, Ronald Mahurin and sisters, Cynthia (Sis) Sharp and Eula (Mathews) Brewer.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. Burial will follow at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Online condolences may be shared at www.CraftonCantrellFuneralHome.com.
