Mary Sue Wilks

Mary Sue Wilks, 93, of Aurora passed away Jan. 5, 2021, at Oak Pointe Senior Living in Monett.  She was born Nov. 25, 1927, in Prague, Okla., the daughter of William Bill and Toleta Bell “Leo” (Allenbaugh) Faucher.
Wilks attended school in Aurora and was a graduate of Beauty College. She worked at the defense plant in Parsons, Kan. making ammo before going to work at Lorraine’s Beauty Shop in Aurora and at her home for 30 years. She was well known for her china painting and was a member of the First Christian Church in Aurora.
On Sept. 13, 1946, she married Norman Wayne Wilks in Marionville. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2011.
She is survived by her daughters, Norma (Richard) Person of Hidden Valley, Ind., and Gina Frisby of Pierce City; brother, Bill Faucher of Aurora; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Rita Hopkins; one grandson; sister, Margurette Talley and brothers, Dee, and John Faucher.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora with burial to be held at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
