Maurice Brandon Wrinkle

Maurice Brandon Wrinkle, 97, of Aurora passed away March 8, 2021. He had resided at the Mt. Vernon Place Care Center for two months. The son of Albert and Edna (Branstetter) Wrinkle was born Sept. 1, 1923. He attended Marionville schools. He married Leona Thurman in May of 1941 and they shared 74 years together until her death in 2015.
He was a supervisor at the MFA Milling Co. for 37 years. Taking time out to serve in the Army during WW II on Iwo Jima. While stationed away from home he would write letters home most every day to his wife and two children.
He was a lifelong member of the Aurora United Methodist Church where he served on many committees over the years.
He is survived by children, Jim (Glenda) of Aurora, Carol Kissee of Battlefield and Kevin of Excelsior Springs. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Irene Rogers of Kansas City as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Duwayne and his brothers, Byron, Harold, Ray, Louis and Don.
Funeral services were held March 12 at the Aurora United Methodist Church under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Maple Park Cemetery.
