MAURICE ROBERT “BOB” GOODRICH, JR.

Maurice Robert “Bob” Goodrich, Jr.,92, of Lenexa, Kan., formerly of Wheaton passed away on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2025, at Advent Health Hospital in Ottawa, Kan. He was born in Toronto, Kan. on Oct. 22, 1932; the son of Maurice and Mary Goodrich.
He married Delores Stipp on June 1, 1952. He was accepted into C.A.A./F.A.A. as an air traffic controller/supervisor. Most of his 35 years working for the F.A.A. was at the Federal Aviation Administration Center in Olathe, Kan. After retiring he was employed for 10 years by Washington Consulting Group to train air traffic controllers.
He was a member of Nall Ave. Baptist Church for 63 years where he served as a deacon and was on numerous committees during his younger years. He was also a member of the “Plain Ol A’s” model car club.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; one daughter, Debra Lynne of Austin, Texas; a son, Michael (Bianca) Goodrich of Kansas City; six grandsons; four granddaughters; six great-granddaughters and five great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janolyn (Tom) Thornbrugh and by his son-in-law, Kevin Nichols.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 6, at Nall Ave. Baptist Church. Graveside services with military honors were held on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Muncie Chapel Cemetery in Wheaton with Reverend Jerry Francisco conducting the service.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of  McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
