MILLARD RAYMOND BRITTON

Millard Raymond Britton, age 88, of Monett, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Granby House in Granby, Missouri. He was born in Waterloo, Indiana on Friday, March 6, 1936; the son of Charles P. and Thelma (Taylor) Britton.
He was a graduate of Ysleta High School in El Paso, Texas. He was in the U.S. Army and served in Germany for two years. He retired after working at El Paso Natural Gas and was a plant supervisor working with gas turbines.
Mr. Britton enjoyed riding horses, working cattle and farming. He enjoyed line dancing with friends. Most importantly, Mr. Britton loved his family and always wanted to spend quality time with them. He will be missed by many.
Surviving are the following: one son, Terry Britton of El Paso, Texas; one daughter, Kimberly Marie Britton of Canutillo, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Jaquetta “Jackie” (Ethan) Block of Wheaton, Missouri; two siblings, Slim Britton of Roswell, New Mexico and Mary Ann ( Roy) Gould of Meridian, Idaho; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Britton was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Britton and Thelma Cork; a son, Charles Eugene Britton; a grandson, Charles Emmett Britton; and a sister, Joy MacKinnon.
Graveside services, with full military honors, will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, Muncie Chapel Cemetery in Wheaton, Missouri. Chaplain Robert Mattingly will be officiating.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, Missouri.
