Folks in Miller are gearing up for the 70th Annual Miller Fall Festival. Several changes have been made to the city staple this year, including the date. While the carnival has always been held Labor Day weekend, it will now take place Thursday, Aug. 27 through Saturday, Aug. 29.
The Miller Lions Club has worked diligently to accommodate the ever changing climate throughout the current pandemic.
A new carnival company, Kenny’s Funland, is on hand and ready to operate safely amid current guidelines.
Vendor booths have been added and the response from local crafters has been immense. With nearly 40 booths expected to be set up, it is sure to be an eventful weekend.
The Miller Lions Club will of course be there, serving up their famous fish sandwiches, along with burgers and sides.
The bandstand will be hopping each day as well, with a full line up of musical guests and performers, including the Miller High School choir, Starlette’s Little Dancers, the Mason Dixon Band and many others.
While changes have been made, the old favorites will be on hand as always. Games and the baby contest will take place uptown Saturday morning and the annual parade will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Bingo will take place at 6:30 each night inside the Lions Club building.
Wristbands can be purchased each night of the carnival, as well as at the Burger Shack in Miller. Mega passes are available only through Wednesday, Aug. 26.
