Mt. Vernon’s Schubert signs letter of intent to play softball at Coffeyville Community College

On Thursday Feb. 16, Mt. Vernon High School senior Allie Schubert signed her national letter of intent to continue her academic and softball career at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kan.
This year is her fourth as a member of the Lady Mt’neers varsity softball team.
Her high school athletic career has been very successful.
In 2021, she received All-Conference Honorable Mention as an infielder and in 2022, she received All-Conference and All-District 1st Team- Infielder and All-Region 2nd Team-Infielder.
In addition to softball, she also played for three years on the Lady Mt’neers varsity basketball team and the varsity tennis team,
She was a member of the Lady Mt’neers basketball team from 2019-22 and lettered all three years, the 2020/2021 team was state runner-up.
In 2021, the tennis team ended as district champs and she and her partner were individual doubles district and sectional champs and qualified for state. In 2022, she and her partner were individual doubles district and sectional champs- and had a fourth place finish at state. She also received All State honors,
Schubert is undecided on her major, however, she is leaning toward something in business.
