Mt. Vernon’s Simons finishes 61st in Cross Country State Championships

Mt. Vernon High School senior Rylee Simons competed in the Cross Country State Championship meet held on Saturday, Nov. 4. Simons who finished the Big 8 Conference meet in fifth place overall and districts in ninth place overall set a season best record running in 20:59 and finishing in 61st place out of 165 runners.
