MVHS athletic director devises plan for upcoming fall sports

Due to the ongoing pandemic and guidelines set forth by local Health Departments, the following information regarding the upcoming fall sports seasons has been provided by Mt. Vernon High School Athletic Director, Chris Johnston.
In an effort to help ensure the safety of all involved, the following capacity limits and procedures have been put in place for all Home fall athletic events.  
All spectators are encouraged to wear face coverings when social distancing is not possible.
Varsity Home Football Games:
Only 800 home spectators and 350  visiting spectators will be allowed at ballgames. Spectators will not be allowed in the stadium without an entrance ticket.  
Home Spectators  
Each football player, band member, and cheerleader will be given a set number of bleacher and standing room entrance tickets each week for family and friends;
All essential game personnel will receive tickets from the Activities Director;
Bleacher entrance tickets for MVHS student body will be distributed at school;
Home bleachers will hold 600 spectators seated every other row;
Some bleacher seats will be labeled “NO SEATING” to assist with social distancing;
Home standing room only will hold 200 spectators along the four foot fence;
Visitor Spectators
Visitor bleachers will hold 150 spectators seated every other row;
Some bleacher seats will be labeled “NO SEATING” to assist with social distancing;
Visitor standing room only will hold 200 spectators along the four foot fence;
Entrance tickets will be given to the visiting school in advance to distribute as they desire;
All spectators will enter through the north stadium gate with their entrance ticket and will pay with cash or a pass;
Spectators will not be allowed on the field at any time;
No seating capacity limits.  
Select bleachers and seats will be labeled “NO SEATING” which will assist with social distancing.
All spectators are expected to practice social distancing and wear face coverings when social distancing is not possible.  
Home fans will be seated on the west end of the High School gym.
Visiting fans will be seated on the east end of the High School gym.
Girls Golf, Cross Country, Girls Tennis, and Sub-Varsity Football Games:
No seating capacity limits.  
All spectators are expected to practice social distancing and wear face coverings when social distancing is NOT possible.
