Neal Evert Westra

Neal Evert Westra, 29, of Pierce City, passed away Nov. 2, 2019.
Westra was born Aug. 18, 1990 in Joplin, to Gary Neil Westra and Susan Jane (Dummit) Westra. He graduated from Pierce City High School with the Class of 2008. He was a lifelong farmer and for the last year had owned and operated N.W. Brush and Land Clearing.  
He married Sydney Lynn Washeck in 2013 in Mt. Vernon. They were blessed with two children, Rhin and Anna.
Westra is survived by: his wife; children, Rhin Eugene Westra and Anna Lynn Westra; parents, Gary and Susan Westra, of Pierce City; brothers, Benjamin (Angela) Westra of Kempner, Texas and Ryan (Denice) Westra of Sahuarita, Ariz.; sister, Nikki (Tom) Griffith of Carthage; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and extended family and friends.
Services were held Nov. 11, 2019 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the Oakdale Cemetery, in Monett. Memorials may be made to K-LOVE Christian Radio Station in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
