Neola Elizabeth Moore

Neola Elizabeth Moore, age 96, of Miller, Missouri, passed away at 6:26 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.  She was born July 3, 1922, in Lawrence County the daughter of Henry and Daisy (Hadlock) Van Dyken.
Neola was a 1941 graduate of Miller High School, and attended Draughon’s Business College in Springfield, Missouri.  She was a member of the Methodist Church, Plew Missionary Ladies and the V.F.W. auxiliary.
Neola married Max Holladay on July 18, 1945, and he preceded her in death.  On January 24, 1993, she married Glenn Moore and he preceded her in death.  Neola was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Daisy, sister, Helen Elliott and her brother, Wendell Van Dyken.
Neola is survived by her daughter, Brenda Hodgson and her husband, Jerry, of LaRussell, Missouri; one son, Don Holladay and his wife, Mary, of Topeka, Kansas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A private family burial, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, will be held at Summit Cemetery.  Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, February 22, 2019 and Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the funeral home chapel.
