New traffic pattern coming to I-44 near Halltown at mile markers 55, 57

There will be new traffic pattern on Interstate 44, at mile markers 55 and 57 near Halltown, beginning the week of June 29.
Traffic will remain one lane in each direction, but will shift to eastbound lanes while crews replace bridges over Goose and Turnback Creeks.
This new pattern will be in effect until mid-December.
The speed limit through this area will be reduced to 60 mph through the work zone.
During major traffic backups, I-44 may be diverted using detour signs. Drivers are urged to consider alternate routes during the project.
The I-44 Project Bridge Rebuild will replace or rehabilitate 19 bridges on I-44 between Sarcoxie and Halltown.
Some existing bridges are original to the construction of I-44 in the 1960s and are deteriorating and need replacement or rehabilitation.
Weather and/or unforeseen delays will alter the work schedule.
