Orville Odean Grooms

Orville Odean Grooms, 78, of Monett passed away March 17, 2019 while at his home in Monett. He was born in Caraway, Ark. on Aug. 2, 1940, to the late Haud Odean and Ester (Powell) Grooms. He was married 1975 in Dillon, Colo. to Adora Lee Rovedo; she survives.
He was the manager and owner of a construction company in Texas before his retirement and was a member of the New Site Baptist Church in Monett.
Grooms is survived by: his wife; son, Gerald Grooms of San Antonio, Texas; step-son, Ronald Sellers of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Karon Hawkins of Monett; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Ronda Grooms; step-daughter, Melinda Sellers; and brother, Charles Grooms.
