PATRICIA “PATTIE” CATHERINE RODER

Patricia “Pattie” Catherine Roder, age 81, of Verona, Missouri, passed away at 9:03 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Northwest in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born March 16, 1943, in Wheaton, Missouri, the daughter of Toney and Clara (Golkoski) Abramovitz.
Pattie was a 1961 graduate of Pierce City High School in Pierce City, Missouri. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Verona, Missouri. Pattie was known for her talkative, outgoing, and fun personality. She was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed sharing her oatmeal carmelitas, Waldorf Astoria cake and her famous peanut brittle with her family and friends during the holidays. She was a very giving person that loved her family and friends deeply. She will be greatly missed.
On February 6, 1965, she married David Lawrence Roder in Pulaskifield, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2010.
Pattie is survived by her daughter, Angie Madison and her husband, Terry, of Monett, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ali Lininger and her husband, Jarett of Nixa, Missouri, Ariana Harmon and her husband, Brook, of Verona, Missouri and Traven Madison of Monett, Missouri; one great-grandson Heston Lininger of Nixa; three brothers-in-law, Jerry Ozbun of Independence, Missouri, Donald Roder and his wife, Joyce, of Aurora, Missouri, and John Merritt of Bettendorf, Iowa; sister-in-law, Joan Squibb and her husband, Larry, of Springfield, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Pattie was preceded in death by her parents, Toney and Clara; her son, Greg Roder; two sisters, Louise Ray and her husband, Kurt, and Sue Ozbun; two brothers, Gene Abramovitz and his wife, Pauline and Clarence Abramovitz and his wife, Marita and sister-in-law, Myra Merritt.
A funeral mass under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Verona, with burial to follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Verona. Rosary will be held from 5:30-6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in the funeral home chapel.
