Phillips

Bruce Francis Phillips, 65, of Aurora, passed away March 13, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born Dec. 22, 1953, in St. Petersburg, Fla., to Ralph and Eleanor (Reinke) Phillips.
Phillips was a 1971 graduate of Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Fla. and attended St. Petersburg Community College. He was a mechanic and a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. In 1975, he married Cherrie Leigh Smith in Pinellas Park, Fla. She preceded him in death in 2014.
Phillips is survived by: son, Jason (Brandi) Phillips of Aurora; daughters, Jacqueline (Stephen) Wiles and Laura (Nicholas) Parmer all of Aurora; mother, Eleanor Phillips of Marionville; brother, Larry Phillips and Sue Barker, of Marionville; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and wife.
A memorial service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at the Aurora United Methodist Church.
