RAE ANNA MCSHANE

Rae Anna McShane, 100, of Springfield and formerly of Mt. Vernon passed away on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, at the Manor at Elfindale in Springfield. She was born in Lawrence County on March 24, 1924; the daughter of Frank and Alma (King) Woodson.
She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1942 and attended Springfield Business College. She was secretary for the Carnation Can Company in Mt. Vernon for 25-plus years. On Oct. 15, 1971, she married Malcom McShane in Las Vegas, Nev.
No services are planned at this time. The burial will be held at a later date at the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home.
