Ralph Wayne Goade

Ralph Wayne Goade, 83, Carthage, passed away April 18, 2019, at Missouri Veteran’s Home in Mt. Vernon.
Goade was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Duenweg, to the late Leonard Mack Goade and Alta Lavesta Goade. He graduated from Duenweg High School, and then served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Missouri Steel for over 20 years in sales, retiring as their sales manager. He then went to work for the Joplin Sheltered Workshop as director of sales.  He enjoyed helping, and spending time with the handicapped of the Joplin area. Even though his two brothers moved west to Seattle, he remained in this area. He enjoyed spending his spare time fishing, and being with his family.
Survivors include: wife of over 60 years, Mary Goade; sons, Mike Goade and Jason Goade both of Carthage, Scott Goade of Carl Junction and Brian Goade of Joplin; six grandchildren; brother, Gerald Goade of Seattle, Wash.; cousin, Everrette Goade of Duenweg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Harold Goade.
Graveside services were held April 22, 2019 in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
