Ray Howard Perry

Ray Howard Perry, 61, of Aurora, passed away Dec. 4, 2018, at his home in Aurora. Perry was born in Monett Oct. 18, 1957, to Ray and Charlene (Garoute) Perry. He devoted his life to law enforcement and served as a deputy sheriff for two years in Lawrence County, served in the U.S. Army for three years, nine years of service at Branson Police Department as a detective and eight years as chief deputy sheriff of Taney County. Perry was also at one time  a member of the Taney County Shrine Club, Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Scottish Rite.
Surviving are the following: daughter, Stacy Davis of Forsyth; son, Bruce Perry of Ft. Jackson, S.C.; sisters, Barbara Marti of Springfield, Regina Coley of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Renay Bunn of Bolivar; and five grandchildren.
Perry has been cremated at his request by Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City. A memorial service will be scheduled in the spring at the Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
