Raymond “Leroy” Miller

Raymond “Leroy” Miller, 75, of Pierce City passed away Sept. 27 at his home in Pierce City. Miller was born in Pierce City, May 4, 1945. He was the son of Raymond Joseph and Hattie (Hilker) Miller. He attended Pierce City High School. He was married to Fernita “Renee” Conway in 1964. He spent many years working in the auto body field. He worked for Crossland Motor Company, Bill Martin Chevrolet, and Gene Taylor Ford. He eventually quit working on cars and worked at Wells Aluminum for 8-10 years.
Surviving are the following: his wife; son and daughter-in-law, Trenton (Pamela) Miller of Pierce City; sisters, Louise Waldo of Lee’s Summit, Dorothy Stewart of Lee’s Summit, Linda Ferguson of Pierce City, Patty Elbert of Monett, and Debbie Creed of Purdy; brother, Johnny Miller of Pierce City; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Raymond and Hattie Miller; brother, Eddie Miller; and sister, Mary Nelson.
He has been cremated at his request. Services will be announced by the family at a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
