Richard Dale Kane

Richard Dale Kane, age 59, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 11:23 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at the NHC HealthCare in Joplin, Missouri.  He was born December 26, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Ronald and Patricia (Porter) Kane.
Rick was a 1979 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, where he was active in all sports.  He attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri and served in the United States Army.  He was a Superintendent for a Construction Company in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Rick is survived by his father, Ron Kane and his wife, Margaret, of Mt. Vernon; his mother, Patricia Taylor and her husband, Bill, of Pittsburgh, Kansas; one brother, Randy Kane, of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Patti McQuarie of Pittsburgh and Peggy Davis and her husband, Frank, of Platte City, Missouri; three nephews, Jake Kane, Kyle Davis and his wife, Taylor, and Derek Davis; two nieces, Chelsy McQuarie and  Brooke Davis; great-nephew, Colin Davis; uncle, Archie Kane and his wife, Carolyn; two aunts, Bobbi Porter and Rose Porter and numerous cousins and friends.
A private family graveside will be held at a later date at the Summit Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
