Richard Earl “Dick” Gulliford, 92, of Monett, passed away Feb. 19, 2020.
Gulliford was born Nov. 26, 1927 in Moundville, son of the late Edward Earl Gulliford and Alta Zalma (Janes) Gulliford. Following his graduation from Bronaugh High School, he continued his education at Springfield Business College. Gulliford served his country honorably during the Korean conflict, being stationed in Germany. He was discharged with decorations in 1953. He worked for Jumping Jack’s in Monett, as a personnel manager, retiring at the age of 63. He was a charter member of the Countryside Christian Church. In 1948 in Springfield, he married Norma Jean Thomas.  
Gulliford is survived by: son, Mark (Donna) Gulliford of Monett; daughter, Ann (Bruce) Stockton of Joplin; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and companion, Nelda Fritz, of Monett. He was preceded in death by: his wife; brothers, VH Gulliford and Larry Gulliford; and sister, Thelma Armsworthy.
Graveside service was held Feb. 25, 2020 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 5234 W State Hwy EE, Springfield. Visitation was held Feb. 24, at Buchanan Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
