ROBERT “BOB” CAMPBELL

Robert “Bob” Campbell, 97, of Pierce City passed away on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at St. Luke’s Rehab Center in Carthage. He was born in rural Pierce City on March 24, 1927; the son of Michael and Katherine (Hanlon) Campbell.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War.
On Nov. 19, 1960 he married Helen Katzfey at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Sarcoxie Prairie. They shared 64 years happily married.
He was a lifelong proud farmer in rural Pierce City raising cattle, hogs, and grain. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church on Sarcoxie Prairie, Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Jim (Pam) Campbell of Sarcoxie; two daughters, Donna (Tim) Londo of Loma Linda and Betty (Tim) DeWeese of Powhatan, Va.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers: Tom, Ed, Bernard, Pat, Bill, and Terry, and five sisters: Frieda, Katherine, Ann, Teresa, and Carolyn.
Funeral mass was held on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Sarcoxie Prairie near Sarcoxie. Burial followed at St. Agnes Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
