ROBERT “BOB” STEINER

Robert “Bob” Steiner, 63, of Joplin passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 18. He was born on Oct. 24, 1959 in Springfield,  son of the late Donald and Nancy (McKee) Steiner.
He graduated from Logan Rogersville High School before furthering his education at the University of Missouri-Rolla and Wichita State University, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was of the Catholic faith and was an advocate of CASA.
On Sept. 5, 1987, he married Rebecca Buchner in Pierce City. They were married for almost 33 years before she passed away in August of 2020.
He is survived by one son, Zach Steiner and wife Coleman, of Golden; two daughters, Aly Steiner of Eagle Rock, and Abby Steiner and Gonzalo Contreras of McAllen, Texas; one granddaughter; his fiancée, Kim Wirths of Joplin; two sisters, Cindy Jackson and husband David, of Humansville and Patty Steiner of Springfield; one niece; his mother-in-law, Ruth Buchner of Eagle Rock; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca; and his brother, Donald Leo Steiner,
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Jan. 21  at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett with Father Brian Straus officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
