Rowena Kay Ricketts

Rowena Kay Ricketts, 72, of Marionville, passed away Sept. 18, 2019. She was born in Vendor, Ark. on Monday, March 3, 1947, to Loyd M. and Violet M. (Alspach) Ricketts.
She graduated from Jasper High School, in Jasper, Ark. and Beauty College in Springdale, Ark. During her career, she worked for Easco in Springdale and later Ann Lynn’s Beauty Shop in Springdale. She loved to cook. She excelled at embroidery and created beautiful work.
Ricketts is survived by: children, Bryan (Dr. John) Landrum-Horner of Marionville, and Miche (Coben) Scott; grandson, Kian Scott; special cousin, Gena Bolin; and a good friend, Jo Ann Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Violet Ricketts; sisters, Sharon Spencer and Reba Rae Ricketts; and the father of her children, Bill Landrum.  
A family directed celebration of life will be held at Log Hall with burial in Smith Cemetery, Vendor, Ark. The service date and time will be announced once details are determined. Her care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory.
